Jazz: Laura performing L-O-V-E from her show in June (2017)

About

Laura is an artist from Los Angeles, more specifically the Sunland-Tujunga area! She has always been keeping herself busy with drawing, painting, fashion and costume design, makeup design, and music. She was singing from a young age but did not notice the passion she had for music until she started playing bass-guitar, and then, later, guitar. She takes inspiration from singer-songwriters such as Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Bon Iver, and Lianne La Havas, as well as many many more wonderful artists. She self-produced an album when she was 15 years old and has been fascinated with the recording process, as well as musical production since. At the same time, she was also studying Art and Music at Pasadena City College. She learned more about painting, her first passion, and performing music, especially Jazz. However, she also learned that school cannot teach you everything and she decided to explore life after she graduated with three AA degrees: Associate in Arts in Humanities, German Language, and Music.

Laura aims to inspire and help anyone who she can. She wants to follow her heart and break down barriers with her art. She has explored many different genres but still cannot settle on merely one definition of what music, or any other art, should be. She instead has come to the conclusion that the end goal will always be shifting to reflect our ever-changing world.
